CASTING DETAILS:

Casting nonunion actors, for dramatic presentations for 2 plays from the book,
Walking By Faith: An Afro-American Trilogy (WBF), by playwright Zeretha Jenkins. 
Possible pay.  Plays to be presented in commemoration of the book’s official release
in November 2006.  WBF is a dramatic collection visiting the triumphs and tribulations
of Afro-Americans.  Z. Jenkins/E.F.S. Productions, Producers.

Audio recording and possible video-taping of plays for promotional purposes. 

Auditions: By Appointment Only - Week of 10/23/06 (Date/Time/Location - TBD). 
Audition Materials: Be prepared to read from sides.
Rehearsals: Evenings & weekends, beginning week of 10/23/06. 
Performance:  11/12/06 afternoon. 
Audio Commercial Recording: 11/11/06 (Tentative). 

Seeking 12 versatile actors, M/F – 9 Black & 3 of any ethnicity, capable of playing multiple roles ranging from ages 16 -60.

Seeking:  Jackie: Black female judge, 40s/50s; Delores: Black doctor, 40s/50s; Aliens No. 1 & 2: M/F, any ethnicity, light
complexion, petite; Harriet Tubman/Barbara Jordan/Mary McLeod Bethune: Black female capable of playing age range of 30-60;
Ronald McNair/Frederick Douglass: Black male capable of playing age range of 40-60; Narrator (Both Plays): M/F, any ethnicity.

2. Conversations With History:

Casting: M/F, Black capable of playing multiple characters, 16 - 50:

Seeking:  Alexis:  Female, class valedictorian, able to play age 16/17; Andrew: HS junior, able to play age 16/17;
Ms. Linden:  Teacher, 30s; Veronica/Wilma Rudolph/Mahalia Jackson: Actress capable of playing age range of 16-50;
Carter G. Woodson/Adam Clayton Powell, Jr.: Actor to play age range of 40-50.

WALKING BY FAITH:  AN AFRO-AMERICAN TRILOGY

Synopsis

 

WALKING BY FAITH:  AN AFRO-AMERICAN TRILOGY is a dramaticcollection  that  celebrates    
the Afro-American experience in America with a unique mixture of colorful characters, including lawyers, doctors, and even
the extraterrestrial!  Throughout its series of unexpected twists and turns, it sends a profound message that one's
history and present are invaluable gems, which pave the way to one's future and ultimate survival.

                                                            TRIAL OF THE RACE

The first in the trilogy focuses on two friends – JACKIE, a very prominent judge, and DELORES, a renowned
physician -- who are unexpectedly swept into another world via an alien abduction!  TRIAL OF THE RACE
becomes the trial of sheer survival for Jackie, Delores, and the entire race!

                                              CONVERSATIONS WITH HISTORY

 

High school juniors, ALEXIS and ANDREW -- are hurled dead-smack into the eye of the hurricane when Alexis
encounters a showdown with her teacher, MS.  LINDEN, in what proves to be the lesson of their lives.


                     AFRO-AMERICANS:  OUR PRIDE IS SHOWING GAME SHOW

 

A delightful mix of educational enhancement and fun!  Presented in the format of a game show, it's an interactive piece
that's sure to delight!
